We’ve got four awesome Party Rooms and a spacious ice rink—all set to ensure the special day is unforgettable!
Here’s what we offer:
- Fully catered parties for eight children or more, available at various session times throughout the week.
- Weekend mornings and afternoons: Saturdays and Sundays offer ample skate time and exclusive party room use during your booked slot.
- Friday Family Skate from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM, and Friday Night Skate from 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM.
For Parents, here’s what you need to know:
- All prices include the children’s entry to Hunter Ice Skating Stadium, skate hire, a complimentary Gift Certificate, and tons of fun!
- A minimum of 8 children is required for a party booking.
- A non-refundable deposit of $50 secures your booking.
- It’s recommended to arrive 15 minutes early to gather in the foyer.
- Downloadable invitations are available online or printed for collection.
- Balloons can be requested at $2 each during booking.
- Notify us at least 24 hours in advance for any changes in confirmed numbers to avoid a $12.00 surcharge per absent child for food preparation costs.
- We accommodate special dietary needs—let us know in advance!

Saturday & Sunday Sessions (11:30 AM – 1:30 PM):
- Party starts at 11:30 AM, food served at 12:00 PM.
- Party Box includes 6 Chicken Nuggets, Hot Chips, 1 Drink, and a Lolly bag per child.
- Ice Cream Cake with a sparkler provided.
- Games & Dancing on the ice from 12:30 PM.
- Enjoy skating until the session ends at 1:30 PM.
Friday Afternoon (4:30 PM – 6:30 PM) Party Packages:
- Party starts at 4:30 PM, food served at 5:00 PM.
- Party Box includes 6 Chicken Nuggets, Hot Chips, 1 Drink, and a Lolly bag per child.
- Ice Cream Cake with a sparkler provided.
- Games & Dancing on the ice from 5:45 PM to keep the party rolling.
- Enjoy skating until the session ends.
Friday Night (7:30 PM – 10:00 PM) Party Packages:
- Party starts at 7:30 PM, food served between 8:00 PM and 8:30 PM.
- Party Box includes 6 Chicken Nuggets, Hot Chips, 1 Drink, and a Lolly bag per child.
- Ice Cream Cake with a sparkler provided.
- Games & Dancing on the ice from 8:45 PM to keep the party rolling.
- The Party Room will need to be vacated by 9:30 PM, but you can enjoy skating until the session ends.
We also offer for all Parties:
- Vegetarian options like Spring Rolls or Vegan nuggets upon request.
- An optional Parent Party Platter for $40, including spring rolls, prawn cutlets, and fish pieces.

School Groups
Hunter Ice Skating Stadium invites high schools across the Newcastle and Hunter Region to embrace ice skating as a school sport!
Currently, over 20 schools visit us at different times during the week, from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
During these sessions, students can take a breather and grab some hot food and drinks from our open canteen.
The cost per student starts from $9.00 for recurring bookings, making it an accessible and exciting option for schools.
While general skating doesn’t traditionally require safety equipment, we provide helmets for students who prefer to wear them, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience.

Only for bookings of 10 or more skaters from formally organized groups such as youth groups, Scouts, or Guides, each member from your group can claim free skate hire – they just have to cover admission! Fundraising for your school, group, or charity can be quite the challenge, taking up precious time and effort. At Hunter Ice Skating Stadium, we’re here to lend a hand, supporting your cause and making your fundraising journey smoother and swifter. Our goal? To help you get back to what you excel at—coaching sports teams or managing community groups!
Here’s how it works: Hunter Ice Skating Stadium will donate $3 from every non-birthday party entry fee during our Friday afternoon Family Skate to clubs and groups that designate this day for their fundraising event. This session is a massive hit, designed especially for kids, featuring popular music, dazzling lights, dancing competitions, and prizes.
It’s an effortless way to generate funds—all you need to do is spread the word among your family and friends. The more people who come to skate, the more money you raise!
Let’s break it down: Imagine bringing 40 people from your club, school, or charity to skate, and another 40 regular customers join in—that’s a total of 80 attendees. Your group instantly earns $240 just by having a blast! And with our rink accommodating up to 500 people, filling it means a potential fundraising of $1500!
